Home Remedies to Overcome Allergy: Symptoms and Nutritional Support

If you are facing allergies and you want some home remedies to heal it, then you are at right place. Here you will get some symptoms, foods to avoid, and some nutritional support.

Symptoms

This is important because a lot of people who are kind of like borderline they don’t know if it’s allergies or something else going on in their body. So, here are some of the things that can arise when it comes to allergy symptoms.

Ear pain

If you’re having pain in the ear. Most people think I have an ear infection going on. No, it’s just a light pain in the ear due to the allergy. So you need a little pain in the ear.

Nasal and eyes

Nasal this is a big one here. So Nasal congestion loss of smell, redness, runny nose, post-nasal drip, sneezing or stuffy nose. These are all things that many people are facing along with the eyes. So itchiness, puffy eyes, redness or watering around the eyes. These are all very common symptoms that most people who have allergies are having.

Respiratory

So breathing through your mouth or even wheezing. Some people, though you know they’ll feel like they’ll have some sort of respiratory condition you’ll have a lot of wheezing when they’re breathing.

Common symptoms

Some other common symptoms too are coughing, fatigue, headaches, and you’re getting these headaches because a lot of sinus pressure, itching phlegm or even throw irritation.

So these are all things that if you’re suffering from this especially around you know your seasonal allergy times well then, of course, you’re gonna have some seasonal allergies that you want to start working towards reversing. This problem can just get worse and worse as you age.

Focus organs

Liver

The liver is important because it’s the organ that supports all organs that filters the blood. If your liver is not healthy then the rest of your body can’t be healthy either. So we always want to make sure that we’re giving ourselves proper liver support. We want to make sure that we have a good healthy liver because it’s going to support the entire body.

Gut health

Next is gut health we want to make sure that we’re focusing on gut health because 80% or more of the immune system is located within the gut. So if we have very poor gut health, if we have problems like leaky gut, if we have SIBO, if we have a lot of different gut problems then there is a good chance that our immune system is going to be dysregulated as well.

So we want to make sure during this time we support gut health if there is a problem and if you’re someone who has a lot of allergies that are really bad you want to focus on improving gut health altogether you know it’s just year round always focus on making sure that you’re improving your gut health not just during the time of allergies.

Foods to avoid

These are foods that people are in many cases very sensitive to so one of the things that we’ll do is we’ll do a food hypersensitivity test with patients and what we’ll find is you know basically the list of foods that their body reacts negatively.

Diaries, eggs, gluten, fruit, and nuts. Now, It doesn’t mean that you have to avoid all these foods you could just have one of them that really sets you off

Sometimes I see people right around allergy season they’ll have a piece of fruit and they’ll literally be coughing and sneezing and it’ll set them over the edge. Any other time of year it’s completely fine.

The same thing goes with dairy. You know the next thing you know they realize all their allergy symptoms got worse after they had some dairy with their dinner.

We have to watch out. Nuts are also one that I see people have an almost immediate reaction to they might have some almonds and their throat gets all itchy and it’s just during that time of seasonal allergies. When your immune system is already very hypersensitive this just puts you over the edge.

These are some of the top foods we see and what happens if you are consuming these foods that your body is already kind of sensitive to and then you know the allergy season comes along, it kind of just compiles this whole problem and makes it much worse it exacerbates everything.

Nutritional support

This is important. I think that you know if you make some of these changes and you’re working to improve your gut health, your liver health and you watch out for those foods that are causing you to react you know this is really going to be the next step as to how you go in you know, just decrease this immune hypersensitivity issue. And decrease your allergy symptoms.

Vitamin C

So taking high doses of vitamin c during this seasonal allergy time is very powerful. One of the things it’s going to do is it’s going to support deactivating histamine. Now, when you have this hypersensitive immune system it basically will release histamine and then as a result of there you will have the smooth muscle that will start to contract, you’ll have some of the mucous membranes start to open up. And you’ll have these IgE antibodies that will start to release into the body and it causes all these different symptoms.

The vitamin C is going to go right to the source and help deactivate the histamine. Which is going to in turn make these symptoms start to go away. It is also going to combat the hypersensitivity. So vitamin C is an important player when it comes to seasonal allergies.

Bioflavonoids

There’s a whole bunch of them and they’re found in green leafy vegetables. Now, they’re gonna support reducing edema which you know if you have allergies you know the puffiness around the eyes, your face is swollen. It helps reduce that edema. It’s gonna help reduce the mucus buildup which is important. It is going to prevent that histamine release as well and moderate the immune system.

So, you’re going to find that many of these things kind of just help create immune balance that immune systems overractiving, it’s gonna help create that balance.

Stinging nettle

Stinging Nettle is also a nutritional powerhouse. It’s gonna help regulate the inflammatory activities there’s a lot of inflammation going on in the body when your immune system is hypersensitive so stinging nettles is a powerful way to help with that inflammation.

Bromelain

Bromelain is also really great too. Now, this is an enzyme complex that actually comes from the pineapple. It was found in Germany to be a really powerful tool to support reducing microinflammation. So it’s going to modulate the inflammatory reaction and it’s also going to combat hypersensitive immune reactions as well.

NAC

Now last on our list is NAC. Basically what this is, is the precursor to glutathione. So you can take n acetylcysteine and it’s going to help produce more glutathione which is a very very powerful antioxidant much more powerful than vitamin c is considered the master antioxidant in the body.

Not only is it going to support the detoxification, not only is it going to support the liver health but it also is a natural mucolytic and basically what that means it’s going to help reduce the mucus formation but help reduce the mucus viscosity as well.

So you’re not gonna kind of have this big thick mucus build up in the body. So NAC is powerful for that. Many people don’t know that it actually can be used for that so now you learned something new.
